Standard Height Safety Harness Kit Features

This standard height safety harness kit by market leaders Kratos has just one attachment point. This is located at the centre back or in the Dorsal area. This ‘D’ ring is made from quality steel so it is strong and up to the task.

Although not quite as adjustable as the harnesses in our other kits you can still adjust the thigh straps with the steel adjustment buckles. The chest strap can be moved up and down the shoulder straps to the correct position. They are secured with a snap buckle and are also adjustable to the correct width for a good fit.

As with all our Kratos safety kits the straps are colour coded so the shoulder and thigh areas can easily be identified. This is a big help when it comes to putting the harness on.

For additional comfort there is an ideally positioned sit strap.

The harness is intended to stop falls and conforms to EN361.

Harness Lanyard Features

The lanyard we will be supplying in this basic kit is a 1.8 metre energy absorbing lanyard made from polyester webbing. The webbing through the lanyard is 30mm wide. Webbing in the energy absorber is 35mm wide which will reduce the impact of a fall to less than 6 kN.

The energy absorber works by the controlled tearing of specific parts of the webbing and/or stitching within the absorption pack. Thus slowing the fall and reducing the forces implied.

There is a scaffold hook at one end and a screw locking karabiner at the other, both made from quality steel.

Always check the labelling on the energy absorber before each use. If you see the Not ok sign then the absorber has been deployed. Therefore it needs to be replaced immediately, do not use until correctly replaced.

Storing and transporting your kit

A basic but sturdy, Jute drawstring bag is included with this kit. This allows you to keep each component together so that it is always ready to go. The bag will also help to keep your safety kit clean as well as offering some protection from damage.
