Panel Lifting Bag Basics
Made from a high tenacity polyester material our panel lifting bag has a tensile strength of 400/380 DAN. Our panel lifting bags can be used safely within temperature ranges from minus 30 to plus 70 degrees C. So you can be assured of great strength and excellent resilience
Our panel lifting bags are commonly used for the lifting and handling of solar panels. However they do have many more uses. When working on a construction site there are multiple types of panel objects which will need to be lifted to higher floor levels.
Window frames, glass panels, ply wood, plaster board and radiators are all good examples of items that can be lifted with a panel lifting bag.
The open ended, open top construction of the bag makes it easy to load and unload. Even whilst still attached to the hoisting device. Panels can slide in from the side and pulled through from the other end if necessary. When they are not attached to the hoist the bag can be completely opened up and laid flat. The panel can be laid on top at one side and then the other side can be folded up to meet at the top. All edges, top and sides can now be secured using the incorporated, heavy duty velcro to keep the load secure.
Thanks to the additional foam layer on the inside of the bags, your loads will be further protected against damage.
Lifting the Bags
The lifting eyes that are incorporated into the lifting sling can be fitted to the load hook of your lifting hoist ready for the lifting process.
Stitched into the bag the heavy duty sling encompasses the bag all the way round, top to bottom and underneath at two points. This ensures optimum safety whilst also providing load stability by preventing panels from tipping to the side.
Guide ropes can also be attached to the bag at the incorporated fixing points located on the sides of the bags. These are used for controlling the movement during the lift. As a loaded panel bag is lifted it may sway towards the side of the building especially if the conditions are windy. Guide ropes/tag lines are the perfect way to control unwanted movement and are highly recommended. The ropes can be pulled out taught to steer the load away from obstacles. Other attached guide ropes can also be used to pull the panel bag in at the required level for off loading.
Solar Panel Lifting Solutions
Solar panels can be a little delicate and need careful handling. Their size and weight can also be problematic. Manually handling these panels can be arduous and time consuming. Not to mention the potential safety issues that comes with carrying them to the roof.
We can supply these solar panel lifting bags in bulk or as one offs. They will speed up your solar panel installation process whilst keeping your workforce and panels safer.
These bags have undergone rigorous safety testing and are supplied with a certificate of conformity. They are clearly labelled with the Working load limit.
