Delta Push Travel Trolley Features
These beam trolleys have a large adjustment range from 50mm up to 305mm so they will fit the majority of ‘H‘ or ‘I‘ beams.
The wheels of the trolley should sit nicely on the beams lower flange. The screw pin acts as the adjuster to ensure the trolley fits correctly to the beam. It also acts as the anchor point to which hoisting equipment may be suspended from. To ensure the trolley is tightly fitted the screw pin has opposite threads at each end, one left and the other right handed so that as you turn the pin it will tighten up correctly.
Once the trolley is fitted they have an additional screw mechanism which extends under the beam flange to prevent the trolley from tilting and thus potentially slipping off the flange. Many trolleys do not have this additional safety function!
Delta Push Trolley Capacities
This range of push trolleys comes in 5 different safe working loads. 500kg is the smallest, then you have 1000kg, 2000kg, 3000kg and 5000kg options.
You should choose your trolley carefully to match up with your chosen hoist and it should be well within the load weights you will be lifting and moving. NEVER exceed the stated safe working load limit.
Operating the Trolley
Prior to operating the trolley you must ensure the beam flanges are clear of debris to ensure smooth and safe travel across the beam.
When the trolley and hoist are correctly fitted your load can be attached and raised off the ground. This should be done slowly to check all components are safe and secure. When you want to move the load the trolley needs to be moved over the beam. This is done by pushing on the load and or the hoists load hook. You should not pull on the load, always push, this is the easiest and safest option.
The trolley should move smoothly across the beam.
