BSW and UNC Collared Eye Bolt Specifics
The BSW and UNC collared eye bolts both have exactly the same dimensions due to them being made from the same pattern. However the screw thread is different so they need to be chosen in the same type as the tapped hole. NEVER miss match the screw and hole.
Other than the thread design on the shank the BSW Whit eye bolts are similar to the metric and UNC versions. The Imperial measurements of the shank width range from ¼ inch up to 2 inches according to the size. As an example a 2 tonne SWL eyebolt (straight lift) will have a shank diameter of 7/8 inch.
The length of the shank tends to come is a range of standard lengths according to the size. However it is sometimes possible get longer or shorter shanks. Please contact us if you need something like this. Take a look at the dimensions in the table below.
Made from heat treated, drop forged high tensile steel our collared eye bolts are super resilient. They have a minimum breaking load at 5 x the stated WLL. They are stamped with the WLL, ID mark, CE mark and size for easy identification.
Alternative Collared Eye Bolts
Amongst our collared eye bolt collection you will find alternative thread types due to the fact that not all tapped and threaded holes are the same. It is imperative to match the eyebolt thread with the hole thread where it is to be fitted to ensure s safe fit. Mismatched threads can result in serious accidents.
